Each head thinks independently of the others, so it makes a lot of noise as each head speaks its mind. If all the heads want to go in a different direction, its body is unable to move. They are able to communicate telepathically as well and sometimes use it to come to a joint decision. It uses psychic powers to fight, and since all three heads are capable its power is tripled. If one of these heads grows too large, it falls off and groups back together to become an Exeggcute. In the anime, Exeggutor also has been seen in groups of its own kind, meaning that it is not a solitary Pokémon. Being the result of an evolution via evolutionary stone, Exeggutor is rarely found in the wild, though they can be found in List of Pokémon by habitat.

In the anime, Exeggutor also has been seen in groups of its own kind, meaning that it is not a solitary Pokémon. Exeggutor has been referred to as The Walking Jungle.  It can be sluggish during cloudy days due to the lack of sunlight. Being the result of an evolution via Evolution stone, Exeggutor is rarely found in the wild, though they can be found in List of Pokémon by habitat.

Due to the abundance of sunlight in the Alola region, Exeggutor grows over five times taller than in other regions. Its neck is thinner and much longer, causing it to more resemble a arecaceae. This variant of Exeggutor has a long, tapering tail with two leaves, and a fourth light green head on the tip. This extra head can act on its own and defend the rear. Its long neck can be used like a whip to attack enemies with its hard head. However, its neck can also be a weak point as it will become dizzy swinging it around. Its increased height reduced its need for a psychic defense and has instead awakened draconic powers. The people of Alola claim that Alolan Exeggutor is this Pokémon's true form. Ancient carvings and murals depict this Pokémon. Its extra height makes it the tallest Grass and Dragon, as well as the heaviest Grass.

Exeggutor (Japanese: ナッシー Nassy) is a dual-type Grass/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation I.

It evolves from Exeggcute when exposed to a Leaf Stone.

In Alola, Exeggutor has a Grass/Dragon-type regional form. It evolves from Exeggcute when exposed to a Leaf Stone. All Exeggcute in Alola evolve into this form regardless of their origin.

Biology

Exeggutor is a tall, bipedal Pokémon that resembles a palm tree. Its body and legs are light brown with thin black rings and its legs are thick with two-toed feet. There light yellow paw pad on each foot's underside. It has thin, green leaves sprouting from the top of its body. Exeggutor has three to six round, light yellow heads that resemble coconuts, each with differing facial expressions.

Exeggutor has been referred to as The Walking Jungle. It can be sluggish during cloudy days due to the lack of sunlight. Being the result of an evolution via Evolution stone, Exeggutor is rarely found in the wild, though they can be found in forests and jungles.

Due to the abundance of sunlight in the Alola region, Exeggutor grows over five times taller than in other regions. Its neck is thinner and much longer, causing it to more resemble a palm tree. This variant of Exeggutor has a long, tapering tail with two leaves, and a fourth light green head on the tip. This extra head can act on its own and defend the rear. [1]The tail can use weak telepathy to scan the surrounding area. Its long neck can be used like a whip to attack enemies with its hard head. However, its neck can also be a weak point as it will become dizzy swinging it around. Its increased height reduced its need for a psychic defense and has instead awakened draconic powers. However, its psychic powers becomes weaker as a result of this evolution. The people of Alola claim that Alolan Exeggutor is this Pokémon's true form. Ancient carvings and murals depict this Pokémon. Its extra height makes it the tallest Grass-type and Dragon-type, as well as the heaviest Grass-type.

Exeggutor and its pre-evolved form are the only known Pokémon that can learn Barrage. Alolan Exeggutor is also the only known Pokémon that can learn Dragon Hammer.

Major appearances

Exeggutor (anime)

A group of Alolan Exeggutor living on Treasure Island first appeared in Partner Promises!. One of them helped Ash free a trapped Wimpod from a crevice. In Alola, Alola!, they were visited and had fun with Ash, his classmates, and Misty.

Other

Multiple Exeggutor appeared in The March of the Exeggutor Squad. They included one that evolved from Melvin's Exeggcute, which had hypnotized Ash into catching the rest of the Exeggutor for Melvin. Unfortunately, all of the Exeggutor used Hypnosis on each other and went on a rampage.

In Round One - Begin!, Mandi's Exeggutor was the first Pokémon Ash faced in the Indigo Plateau Conference. Despite the type disadvantage and the lack of experience, Krabby defeated Exeggutor, evolving into Kingler in the process. Exeggutor reappeared in flashbacks in the following episode and Friends to the End.

Trivia

File:JPJungleBoosterbox.jpg
An elongated Exeggutor

Origin

Exeggutor appears to be based on a coconut tree and possibly the Japanese monster Jinmenju, a tree that grows human heads that are always smiling. It might also be inspired by a yucca plant, with its bulky trunk and blade-like leaves.

Alolan Exeggutor more closely resembles a coconut tree or palm tree. Its Dragon typing may be a reference to the Dracaena genus of trees. It may also be a pun inspired by the Coca, a dragon whose name shares the same origins as the word coconut.

Name origin

Exeggutor may be a combination of egg and executor.

Nassy is derived from ココナッツ kokonattsu (coconuts) and 椰子 yashi (palm tree).
