He asked the competing Trainers to check their registration cards and use the numbers as a guide to find their Tag Battle partners, which had been randomly decided.

Enta (Japanese: エンタ Enta) is a recurring character in the Pokémon anime. He is the mayor of Hearthome City and serves as an announcer for several Pokémon competitions within the city. He first appeared in Tag! We're It...!.

History

Enta debuted in Tag! We're It...!, where he was seen welcoming Tag Battle Trainers to Hearthome City. He revealed he would host the Hearthome City Tag Battle Competition and then explained the proceedings to all the contestants and the audience. He asked the competing Trainers to check their registration cards and use the numbers as a guide to find their Tag Battle partners, which had been randomly decided.
