Flavor text Generation VII Turns the ground into Electric Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle. Generation VIII Turns the ground into Electric Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle. Generation IX Turns the ground into Electric Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle.

Electric Surge (Japanese: エレキメイカー Electric Maker) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. Prior to Generation VIII, it was the signature Ability of Tapu Koko.

Effect

In battle

When a Pokémon with Electric Surge enters the battle, it creates the effect of the move Electric Terrain on the battlefield.

Outside of battle

Electric Surge has no effect outside of battle.
