Trivia

Origin

Daburan and its evolutionary line resemble homunculi inside balls of jelly. They also seem to bear allusions to cells, with the green substance surrounding their bodies resembling cytoplasm and the objects inside their bodies representing organelles. They may also bear certain allusion to one of the embryonary stages.

Name origin

Its name is likely a combination of ダブル daburu, double, and 卵 ran, spawn.
