Double Team (Japanese: ダブルチーム Double Team) is a pair of Pokémon Trainers that first debuted in Generation IV games. They are depicted as a pair of male and female Ace Trainers.
They use Pokémon of opposite genders and fight in Double Battles.
The first Double Team appears on Route 210, but most are found in Victory Road with powerful and well-trained Pokémon. Compared to other Double Battle teams, their AI is very skilled.
They are the Generation IV version of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen's Cool Couple and Generation VI's Ace Duo.
