Errata
Release information
Prototype Pokémon Leagues were given the Trainer Deck A, which included this card, before the Base Set's official release. This print has a red border and "Trainer Deck A" printed on the back. This card was included in the Base Set with artwork by Keiji Kinebuchi, first released in the Japanese Expansion Pack. It was reprinted in the Base Set 2 expansion. It was reprinted again in the Japanese Hanada City Gym, Kuchiba City Gym, Tamamushi City Gym, and Yamabuki City Gym theme decks, and the Totodile Half Deck of the Japanese Intro Pack Neo.

According to errata issued along Black and White, the card should read "by attacks" instead of "by an opponent's attack".
This card was later reprinted in the Undaunted expansion with new artwork by Ryo Ueda, first released in the Japanese Reviving Legends expansion.

Release information
Alongside Black and White, this card received an erratum to change "by an opponent's attack" to "by attacks".
This card was reprinted in Base Set 2, as well as the Hanada City Gym, Kuchiba City Gym, Tamamushi City Gym, and Yamabuki City Gym theme decks, and the Totodile Side Deck of the Neo Introduction Set. It was later reprinted in the Undaunted expansion with new artwork by Ryo Ueda, originating in the Reviving Legends expansion. It was given an errata alongside the release of Black and White so that it now protects against damage from all attacks, not just opponents' attacks.
