(Japanese: ダークライ Darkrai) is a Dark-type Legendary Pokémon of Generation IV.

Darkrai is a black, ghostly looking creature. It wears a red necklace and small black head with blue eyes and long white hair. It has skinny arms and long black "streamers" hang from its shoulders. It has an hourglass figure and appears to be wearing a short, torn-up skirt.

• Darkrai is the first Dark-type legendary Pokémon. This is the first event legendary Pokémon, which was thought can only be received during a Pokémon event or a Nintendo event. However in the Japanese version of Diamond and Pearl, It can be caught through the Surf glitch of the first room of Sinnoh Elite Four.
