In the United Kingdom, an exclusive Non Holofoil version of this card was packaged with DVD copies of The Rise of Darkrai in September 2008.

Trivia

This is the first DP Black Star Promo card released that is not a reprint of any sort, and the first since Tropical Wind (reprinted from the previous promo series) not to be a reprint of a card found in an expansion set.

Origin

This Darkrai card is based on the Nintendo event Darkrai given out in Japanese movie theaters playing Dialga vs Palkia vs Darkrai in July 2007 and given out at Toys "R" Us stores at the end of May 2008 in the United States. That Darkrai also had the moves Roar of Time and Spacial Rend, and was also holding an Enigma Berry.
