Synopsis

Template:Incomplete synopsis The Pokémon Ping Pong Tournament is an event where Pokémon and Trainer build a pair and hit a ball. Ambipom, who has teamed up with Dawn, displays a powerful smash using its two tails. The former champion, Ō, witnesses this by coincidence and, saying that Ambipom has a good sense for Pokémon Ping Pong, guarantees its success...

Trivia

• Dawn's Ambipom's release is similar to Ash's Primeape's release as in that both were given to another Trainer for training based on their skills, were on Ash's team at some point, and evolved onscreen, yet outside of Ash's ownership. Both are also based on primates, and had an interest in stealing Ash's hat.
