Sleepless in Pre-Battle (Japanese: クレセリアVSダークライ！ Crecelia vs. Darkrai!) is the 104th episode of the Diamond & Pearl series, and the 570th episode of the Pokémon anime. It first aired in Japan on December 4, 2008 as part of a one hour special with DP105.

Synopsis

Template:Incomplete synopsis The group go to Canalave Gym, but a pupil tells them that the Gym Leader is not there. The other pupils are seen sleeping. At a police station, the group is told by Officer Jenny that all the people in the town are having nightmares, and that the cause of the nightmares seems to be the Pokémon Darkrai.

• Dawn displays the Lunar Wing that she bought in the movie The Rise of Darkrai, marking the first mention of the events of that movie in the anime and thus making it at least partially canon. Ash's nightmare is very similar to the one he had in the same movie.
• This episode aired in the same week that Hungry For the Good Life!, in which Dawn captures Swinub, aired in the U.S. The same thing happened with Ash's Gliscor.

• This episode is related to the game's event where the player has to go to Fullmoon Island to get a Lunar Wing from Cresselia to stop a nightmare caused by Darkrai.
• The dub title for this episode is a reference to the phrase "sleepless in Seattle".
• This is the second time that a main character's Pokémon has evolved in an episode to feature a legendary Pokémon. The first time it happened was in Entei at Your Own Risk when Brock's Forretress evolved into Forretress

Errors

• Mamoswine was added in the place of Swinub in the opening instead of Piloswine.
