Cute Charm (Japanese: メロメロボディ Enebriating Body) is an ability introduced in Generation III that may infatuate an opponent on contact. When Pokémon with this ability are attacked by a move that makes contact there is a 30% chance that the attacker will become infatuated, making it unable to attack most of the time. Infatuation can be cured by a Mental Herb or a Red Flute, or when the Pokémon with Cute Charm switches out. Nine Pokémon have this ability, all of them Template:Type2. Outside of battle, if the Pokémon with Cute Charm is first in the party, then the chance of encountering a Pokémon of the opposite gender is 66.6%, regardless of any species' gender ratios. This does not affect swarming Pokémon species.
