Dragon trio is a term used by many Pokémon fans to refer to three legendary Pokémon that may or may nor be the legendary trio of the Sinnoh Region. It is composed of three Pokémon: Dialga, Palkia and Giratina.

Some fans refer to that Dialga and Palkia are actually a legendary duo, because Arceus did not create Giratina. This is known, as in the The Original Story, in the Sinnoh myths, it states that Template:P2 created two beings from itself, Dialga and Palkia.

Evidence

These three Pokémon have some striking similarities to each other, just like all the other legendary trios. Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina all have Dragon as a secondary type, and they all have a base stat total of 680, with the distribution of 150-120-120-100-100-90, although different numbers may go to different stats for each Pokémon. Also, many of their moves gained by leveling-up are the same.
