Crafty Shield (Japanese: トリックガード Trick Guard) is a non-damaging Fairy-type move introduced in Generation VI. It is one of the two signature moves of Klefki, the other being Fairy Lock.

Effect

Crafty Shield protects all Pokémon on the user's side of the field from status moves. It does not protect against damaging moves. Crafty Shield can be used consecutively without failing.

Most status moves that can bypass Protect, Detect, and Spiky Shield are blocked by Crafty Shield (such as Sketch and Play Nice), but it will not block Perish Song.

Feint, Shadow Force, and Phantom Force lift the effect of Crafty Shield from the target's team.

Description

Games Description
The user protects itself and its allies from status moves with a mysterious power. This does not stop moves that do damage.
