Connally (Japanese: クロダ Kuroda) is a Black Belt who trains in Maylene's Gym. He appeared from Lost Leader Strategy! to A Triple Fighting Chance!.
In his first appearance, his fellow Black Belts had lost faith in Maylene because of her loss to Paul and uncertainty about being a Gym Leader while he still believed in her.
He judged Maylene and Dawn's, and later, Maylene and Ash's Gym battle. He was touched after Maylene regained her self-confidence as a Gym Leader.
