Colorless (TCG)

The Colorless type is one of the ten TCG elemental types. It is represented by the color white.
The Colorless type contains all Normal- and Template:Type2 Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, Ratatta and Tornadus are all Colorless types in the TCG. Colorless Energy is most likely based upon the Normal type.
Prior to the Dragon Selection set, the Colorless type also contained all Template:Type2 Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, Rayquaza and Dragonite were Colorless types in the TCG. However, Template:Type2 Pokémon are now Dragon type cards.
Colorless can be seen as the "neutral" type, as attacks with an Energy cost listed with Colorless Energy may use any of the other eight types of Energy to count for that Colorless. Due to this, unlike the other eight, there is no Basic Energy card associated with Colorless— all cards providing only Colorless Energy also provide some other effect, or provide multiple Energy units, aside from React Energy.
Battle properties
Generally, Colorless Pokémon have a weakness to:
- Lightning (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2 in the video games)
- Fighting (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2 in the video games)
- Colorless (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2 in the video games)
- Nothing (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2 or Template:Type2-only in the video games)
Generally, Colorless Pokémon have a resistance to:
- Psychic (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2* or Template:Type2* in the video games)
- Fighting (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2 or Template:Type2 in the video games)
- Fire (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2* in the video games)
- Grass (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2* in the video games)
- Water (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2* in the video games)
- Nothing (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2 or Template:Type2-only in the video games)
These types are generally weak to Colorless Pokémon:
- Colorless (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2 in the video games)
These types are generally resistant to Colorless Pokémon:
- Psychic (if the Pokémon is a Template:Type2 in the video games)
