Mitch (Japanese: ヤマグチ Yamaguchi) is the Club Master of the Fighting Club (Japanese: バトルクラブ Battle Club). He plays using the First-Strike Deck (Japanese: せんせいこうげきデッキ Preemptive Hit Deck) and gives away the Fighting Medal to challengers who defeat him. In Pokémon Card GB2: Here Comes Team GR!, he uses the ドトウのてっけんデッキ Iron Fist of the Billows Deck.

His Fighting Club is a dojo filled with weight training equipment.

His deck is based around using only powerful Fighting types. He also uses Pluspower to boost his damage done, and Defender to deter opponent damage. Gust of Wind cards are also utilized to switch healthy opponents with more damaged ones. The best strategy is to use Psychic types like Gastly and its evolution, and Flying type in the deck. They'll resist damage, and the Ghosts will deal a majority of the damage.

Wave's Punch Deck

Wave's Punch Deck (Japanese: ドトウのてっけんデッキ) is played by Mitch. Defeating Mitch in a 6 prize card match grants the player two Sky Flying Pokémon booster packs for each victory.

Mitch was kidnapped by Team Great Rocket at the start of the game and is therefore not available to battle. He is later freed by the player at the GR Fighting Fort when Gōda is defeated. For saving him, the player is rewarded with a Cool Porygon promotional card, at which point Mitch will battle at the Fighting Club with this decklist.
