Clemont's Dedenne (Japanese: シトロンのデデンネ Citron's Dedenne) is the first Pokémon Clemont caught during his journey through Kalos, and his fifth overall. He captured it by Bonnie's request so she can care for it because she is not yet a Pokémon Trainer.
History
As a wild Pokémon
Ash, Clemont and Bonnie first encountered Dedenne in A Battle of Aerial Mobility during their journey to Santalune City. Bonnie was eager to care for the cute Pokémon, and asked Clemont if he would catch it for her to allow her to raise and take with her when she was old enough to be a Pokémon Trainer. Clemont agreed, and Ash helped her; however, Dedenne ran off crying when a Fletchling stole the food it was being offered. After the same Fletchling was captured by Ash, Dedenne was last seen watching the group as they leave.

In XY011, it used its ability to detect electricity from Pikachu to find him, Froakie, Fennekin, and Chespin when the four were separated from their Trainers.
In XY012, Serena gave it a Spewpa disguise to use as bait for Daz, a Pokémon buyer that the group was trying to take down. However, it proved too small to pass for a Spewpa, so Chespin was volunteered instead.
