Release information
As the TCG was still in its relative infancy, Wizards were still experimenting with organized play and so utilized the upcoming Jungle expansion to demonstrate tournament play within the Pokémon League. Special stamped "prerelease" versions of this card were created and awarded to participants of Jungle prereleases in July 1999. This has now become a standard within the TCG. The infamous prerelease Raichu was also erroneously produced alongside these cards.
The holographic version of this card was reprinted in the Base Set 2 reprint set, which was only released outside of Japan.
Trivia
- Unlike later Prerelease cards which all have a gold stamp, this card has four stamp color variations: the traditional gold, green, red, and blue.
- A number of early Unlimited run prints have no Jungle expansion symbol. This error occurs on the holographic version only.
Origin
Metronome and Minimize are both moves in the Pokémon games that Clefable can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
