Chuck's wife in the anime

Chuck's wife (Japanese: シジマの奥さん Shijima's wife) is the wife of the Cianwood City Gym Leader, Chuck. She first appeared in Pokémon Gold and Silver, and reappeared with the same role in Pokémon Crystal and Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.

In the games

In Gold, Silver, and Crystal she can be found standing outside Cianwood Gym, in Cianwood City. She will give the player HM02 (Fly) after the player defeats her husband.

In HeartGold and SoulSilver she can be found standing outside Cianwood Gym. She will give the player HM02 (Fly) after the player defeats her husband, though in these versions she'll walk up to the player instead. Due to Chuck's constant training after defeat, he (unlike the other Gym Leaders) will not leave his Gym to give out his Pokégear phone number for a rematch, and his wife will give it instead.

In the anime

She appeared in Machoke, Machoke Man!, often teasing Chuck about his weight and how he gets tired a lot. She is voiced by 山田美穂 Miho Yamada in Japanese and Tara Jayne in English.

In Pokémon Adventures

She makes a small appearance in VS. Skarmory, first seen cooking with two Tyrogue helping her. Chuck asks her to prepare the main battle space of the Gym in preparation for Wayne's arrival. She waits there with Chuck, and stays behind when Chuck rushes out to ultimately battle Suicune.
