Charge (Japanese: じゅうでん Charge) is a non-damaging Electric-type move introduced in Generation III.

Effect

Generation III

If the user's next move is Electric-type, it will deal twice the usual amount of damage.

Generation IV

The effects of Charge are the same as the previous generation; however, Charge also raises the user's Special Defense by one stat level until the end of the turn.

Generation V

If the user's next move is Electric-type, its base power will be doubled. Charge also raises the user's Special Defense by one stat level.
