In Japan, this card was released as a PCG-P Promotional card to those who participated in and won the Autumn 2005 Battle Road tournament. This print was released as one of the {{TCG|Nintendo Black Star Promos}}. It was given to players at Worlds 2005. Later, in 2006, this card was reprinted for the Battle Road Autumn 2006 competition. This print remains Japanese exclusive.

The event comprised six stages: a competitor would play against others in Stages 1 through 5, and then against a Pokémon Card Laboratory employee at the Premium Stage. It was reprinted as an {{TCG|Unnumbered Promotional cards|Unnumbered Promotional card}} in Japan with different artwork by the same artist, and was awarded to participants of the Battle Road Stadium DP event who won a battle at the Final Stage.
