Challenge the Champion Lance!

(Japanese: チャンピオン ワタルにちょうせん！ Challenge the Champion Wataru!) is a downloadable tournament for the Pokémon World Tournament which centers around Lance, the current Champion of the Indigo Plateau. In Japan, its distribution began July 14, 2012. International distributions are yet to be announced.

The tournament features new Single Battle teams for Morty, Whitney, Erika, and Lance himself. Each Trainer uses the three Pokémon listed below; their teams consist of a Pokémon present in their original party from Pokémon FireRed and Leafgreen or Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver and two Generation V Pokémon.

Lance is guaranteed to reach the final match every time the Tournament is entered.
