Caserin (Japanese: カスリン Kasurin, カスミのラブカス Kasumi's Lovecus) is Misty's eleventh Pokémon. This was Misty's first Generation III Pokémon. This also the only Pokémon that she ever nicknamed. She acquired him in the Kanto region, despite the fact that Luvdisc is not normally native to the area. The circumstances of Misty obtaining Caserin are unknown, though it is implied that he was sent to her as she is a Water Gym Leader. The name is a play on both the name Catherine and the second syllable of Lovecus, the Japanese name of Luvdisc. He is voiced by Rachael Lillis in English and 阪口大助 Daisuke Sakaguchi in Japanese.

Misty and her sister, Daisy, both obtained Luvdisc in the hope of using the two Pokémon in one of the Cerulean City Gym's water ballets. Caserin was in love with Daisy's Luvdisc, Luverin. However, the other Water-type completely ignored Caserin's advances.

Dr. Namba cooked up an evil plan to rid the world of love and needed the two Luvdisc as his key components, and thus, Butch and Cassidy tried to steal the Luvdisc. But Caserin and Luverin were able to cooperate and save each other - in the process they fell in love - allowing Daisy to complete her new show.
