Upon the release of {{TCG|Platinum|Galactic's Conquest}}, Carnivine G and four other promotional cards were made available to anyone who bought two booster packs from the expansion. These cards were the first available cards from the DPt-P promotional series.
This card was released as one of the {{TCG|DP Black Star Promos}} in May 2009 as one of two cards available in the {{TCGMerch|Platinum|Series|Rising Rivals Three Pack Blisters}}. In Japan, this card and four other promotional cards were made available to anyone who bought two {{TCG|Galactic's Conquest}} booster packs during the expansion's initial release campaign at participating stores. These cards were the first available cards from the DPt-P promotional series.

This card was released as one of the DP Black Star Promos in May 2009 as one of two cards available in the Rising Rivals Three Pack Blisters. In Japan, this card and four other promotional cards were made available to anyone who bought two Galactic's Conquest booster packs during the expansion's initial release campaign at participating stores. These cards were the first available cards from the DPt-P promotional series.

Trivia

On the English print of the card, the card's HP reads "80HP" instead of "HP80" as is typical of a Generation IV-era card.
