About the bias section...

"Articles on Bulbapedia are intended to be unbiased, with fan opinions like 'Misty's Togepi ruined her character' not included in the article itself, but instead in the trivia, if it is an agreed-upon opinion. In addition, it is not to be stated as fact, but rather so that readers realize that it is in fact merely an opinion. For instance, as opposed to 'Misty's Togepi ruined her character,' write, 'Many fans belive that Misty's Togepi ruined her character.' "

Half of the time, we are not even allowed to add "Many fans believe..." Like I wrote on the anime outfits page that "Many fans believe Dawn's skirt is too short" yet is was removed because Sketch said that it didn't matter what the fans think.

So I'm a bit confused here. Is it okay to add a bias if the "Many fans believe..." part is in front of it or not? We should remain consistent. If it's not okay to mention that the fans believe Dawn's skirt is too short, then we should remove what the fans think about Togepi ruining Misty and change the rules. Or we can just accept fan biases in a third party sense... --ケンジガール 01:56, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

My take is that you can't just say something like that unsourced...at the very least I'd throw in some kind of reference link when making statements about the community. If it's empirical--"Many more fans watched the first movie than the third"--that's less of an issue, but stating preference needs some kind of source, I think. Otherwise, I could preface just about anything with "many fans believe" and it's okay. -- evkl (need to talk?) 02:03, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
If you just looked at the #pocketmonsters image boards before being erased then you'd see what I'm talking about. And I think Dawn's outfit change in the Pokémon Learning League game is enough proof that American's had a problem with it...--ケンジガール 03:16, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
