A comment just made by TTE on another page about how he wishes people would be more enthusiastic about featuring articles reminded me of this. Are we ever going to make one of these article featured? Ultimately this is just a way for users to point out pages to the people in charge; the people in charge are the ones who actually decide whether or not to accept or reject a nomination. I think the idea is to tell them what a good idea for a feat. art. is, then let whoever's in charge (does anyone know who is, anyway?) decide, not to actually pick one on our own. I agree that there should be a set number of votes to get one (always the issue of sockpuppeting to feature a junk article, could be dealt with), but as it is, this is what we've got. LIVE WITH IT. It's following the same style as Manual of style it's two shortcuts are "MOS" and "BP:MOS" If for any reason the FAC article is needed in the mainspace, it can then be edited for different use. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 07:11, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Deadlines

When do some of these get passed? Many have been up for months with no new votes. Articles that are closely split, like Staryu, or heavily biased, like Ash, I can understand, but many of the others have overwhelming support. Aura-Knight 03:12, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

The steps to nominate a page are listed here under "procedure". You're free to nominate any article you want, but I wouldn't nominate Pokémon anime. It's a bit... listy. To place your vote - there are edit buttons next to the titles "support", "object", and "other comments". If I'm correct by numberrs you mean the nominations procedure, and they contain the standards that the page must meet and steps towards making a nomination. Sabrina is currently not a candidate to be voted for, so you can't vote for her. Since there are no candidates, you can't vote at the moment and the five 'current' ones have been sent to the Editorial Board for review. --Spriteit 06:44, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

I have updated this page with a short list of some qualities of what makes a featured article. It may be added to by other EB members over the next few days, but those are the criteria I use when looking at whether an article should be featured. Is it possible to de-feature an article?

I want to know if there is any kind of nomination made in order to take an specific page out of its featured article status. I'm asking because I do not think that Aim to Be a Pokémon Master can be considered one at this point. There is still information that could be added and it has an Incomplete template, which already disquelifies candidates. Also, even if the section needed was complete, the page wouldn't be that all different from almost every other opening song page. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 04:52, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

No articles are being chosen to be a featured article or not

This page hasn't been changed since August 17 2013. So Bulbapedia must have the same featured articles since then. I just think that the featured articles should be chosen weather or not to be featured articles. ----Ethan (Discussion) 04:37, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
