The '''Bulbagarden Library''' is a [[fan fiction]] archive hosted by [[Bulbagarden]]. Similar in function to {{wp|FanFiction.net}}, but much smaller in scope, the library allows users to post stories for others to read and review.


In addition to posting individual stories, a user can create a "series" containing multiple stories as part of one larger universe. If a user makes the series open, other users can add their work to the series as well. It's also possible to credit multiple users for a story by way of the "co-author" function. As such, the library is more community-oriented than many fan fiction sites.
The Library is currently down, and was to return in an entirely differing style as part of [[Bulbapedia:Project Overgrow|Project Overgrow]]. During that time (and even while the library was up), many Bulbagarden users have taken to putting their fan fiction on the [[Bulbagarden forums]]. However, since Project Overgrow never finished, the Library is still down.


Unfortunately, the library is one of the smallest and most neglected parts of the site; the "Terms of Service" are blank, and the copyright information hasn't been updated since 2006. The uploading process is also full of bugs and other issues. For example, users can't upload documents and have to manually copy the text of their stories to upload them. Also many parts of the story creation process (such as adding genres, characters, or warnings) are incomplete.

As of June 14, 2008, there are 83 members of the library, 30 of which have posted actual stories.
 
Around June 23, 2008, the library was taken offline due to security concerns [http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/showthread.php?p=574204#post574204]. However, it will eventually be brought back online [http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/showthread.php?p=575631#post575631].


Many Bulbagarden users have taken to putting their fan fiction on the [[Bulbagarden forums]] instead of using the library.

The Bulbagarden Library was a fan fiction archive hosted by Bulbagarden.

The Library is currently down, and was to return in an entirely differing style as part of Project Overgrow. During that time (and even while the library was up), many Bulbagarden users have taken to putting their fan fiction on the Bulbagarden forums.
