Brutella (Japanese: おばば Hag) is a character of the day in the Pokémon anime. Her Japanese voice actress is Chika Sakamoto and her English voice actress is Kayzie Rogers.
Brutella's first appearance was in Beauty and the Beach. In the episode, she tried to sabotage Moe's restaurant with the help of Team Rocket. She also had Team Rocket attack a beauty contest with their Gyarados submarine. Ash managed to save the day with his Pidgeotto and Charmander. In the process, her restaurant ended up getting destroyed.
The last time Brutella appeared was a cameo in Tentacool & Tentacruel. She was rebuilding her restaurant when her cousin, Nastina, fell on top of it and destroyed it once again. It should be noted that Brutella's name comes from the Italian word Brutta meaning ugly.
Brutella is not given an actual name in Japanese; she is simply referred to as a "hag".
Trivia
- In the Japanese version of Beauty and the Beach, the Who's That Pokémon? was Brutella. She's the only non-Pokémon that appeared on this segment.
