In Japan, it was first released as a promotional card with different artwork by [[Ken Sugimori]] distributed alongside {{TCG ID|CoroCoro|Misty's Staryu|Promo}} in the March 1998 issue of [[CoroCoro]] comic. It was later included in the {{TCG|Nivi City Gym}} theme deck and {{TCG|Leaders' Stadium}} expansion with the artwork used on the English print.
