In Japan, this card was released as a promotional card with artwork by [[Ken Sugimori]], distributed alongside {{TCG ID|CoroCoro|Misty's Staryu|Promo}} in the March 1998 issue of [[CoroCoro]] comic. It was reprinted in the Japanese {{TCG|Nivi City Gym}} {{TCG|Theme Deck}} with different artwork by the same artist. This print was included in the {{TCG|Gym Heroes}} expansion, having been previously reprinted in the {{TCG|Leaders' Stadium}} expansion in Japan.
This card was also released as a promotional card with different artwork, also by Ken Sugimori. In Japan, it came with the March 1998 issue of [[CoroCoro]] comic. This variant card was never released in English.

In Japan, this card was released as a promotional card with artwork by Ken Sugimori, distributed alongside Misty's Staryu in the March 1998 issue of CoroCoro comic. It was reprinted in the Japanese Nivi City Gym Theme Deck with different artwork by the same artist. This print was included in the Gym Heroes expansion, having been previously reprinted in the Leaders' Stadium expansion in Japan.
