Trivia

  • Blue is the only Trainer whose four Pokémon were all introduced in the same generation as the Trainer.
  • Blue is the first Trainer to form three sync pairs that use Mega Evolution.
  • Aerodactyl using Double-Edge after Mega Evolution pays homage to its learnset in certain core series games that feature Blue, for the Pokémon can only learn that move in Generation III (which includes Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen) and Generation I. This enhances its Trainer's classic theme.

Origin

Blue's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Pidgeot is one of the Pokémon Blue uses in the core series games—being his lead Pokémon in many battles and his highest-level Pokémon in HeartGold and SoulSilver. In Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, it is capable of Mega Evolving. Pidgeot's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire.

Blastoise is Blue's signature Pokémon in the Kanto-based core series games if the player chooses Charmander as their starter. In addition, animated short series such as Pokémon Origins and Generations depict Blue with Blastoise as the fully evolved form of his starter Pokémon. Blastoise's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire.

Blue's classic design is based on his appearance in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Aerodactyl is a Pokémon that Blue has used in the core series games since Pokémon Black 2 and White 2—with it being capable of Mega Evolving in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon. Aerodactyl's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.

Arcanine is a Pokémon Blue uses in the Kanto-based core series games if the player chooses Charmander or Bulbasaur as their starter, as well in other core series games he's appeared in. In addition, Blue was also with an Arcanine in the Pokémon Origins animated short series. Arcanine's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
