Blaze (Japanese: もうか Raging Flames) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Twelve Pokémon have this ability; each one of them is a member of the evolution family of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh's Template:Type2 starter Pokémon.
When a Pokémon with Blaze uses a Fire-type move, if it has a third or less of its maximum HP remaining, the damage inflicted will be 1.5× greater.
Outside of battle
Blaze has no effect outside of battle.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Blaze will deal double the damage if the Pokémon using it is below 25% of its HP.
Pokémon with Blaze
No Pokémon have Blaze as one of their two abilities.
