Ash's Chikorita evolved into Bayleef in Current Events. Ash's Bayleef still had the same personality it had when it was still a Chikorita, but it soon mellowed out.

  • Bayleef is the tallest of any of the middle evolutions of the starters.

Origin

This Pokémon is based on sauropods, most notably the apatosaurus.

Name origin

Bayleef's name is a misspelling of the word bay leaf. The last fou letters of its French name are also the last four letters of geranium, a flower.
