Advanced Generation release
The Battle Trainer was initially released in 2005 by Hasbro. The system was initially packaged with a Pikachu figure. Other figures were sold individually. For the Pokémon 10th Anniversary, a bundle of the system and Pikachu and Groudon figures were sold exclusively at Target stores.
