In Generation IV, the leftmost receptionist offers the Multi Battle Room challenge, a tag team challenge. Before the challenge begins, the player may choose a computer-controlled partner from among the five Stat Trainers, each of whom specializes in a different stat; or the player may partner with a nearby friend using the DS Wireless Communication. In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, each of the computer-controlled partners also appears outside of the Battle Tower in Sinnoh and will temporarily partner with the player to navigate an area. In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, in order for the player to choose one of them as a partner in the Battle Tower, they must have already partnered with that person and cleared their area; in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, they are all always available. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, this receptionist does not offer any challenges. | In Generation IV, the leftmost receptionist offers the Multi Battle Room challenge, a tag team challenge. ====Master Class====
section | |||
Master Class is available for both Single Battles and Double Battles. Opponents in Master Class are more challenging and typically use fully-evolved Pokémon. In Master Class Double Battles, the player will face two Trainers at a time in a Multi Battle. The player uses four Pokémon while the opposing pair uses two each.
In Master Class challenges, the player is also assigned a rank, starting from Rank 1. Rank goes up by one for successfully completing a full set, up to Rank 10. If the player repeatedly loses a challenge too many times, the rank will go down by one. The rank determines the boss Trainer that the player will face in the seventh battle, and it does not affect the difficulty of the preceding six battles. The BP reward for completing a challenge also increases with rank.

Pokémon world locations |
The Battle Tower (Japanese: バトルタワー Battle Tower) is a battle facility in the Sinnoh and Johto regions. In Generation IV, the Battle Towers in both regions are functionally identical.
In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, and their remakes Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the Battle Tower is located in the Battle Park, while in Pokémon Platinum, it is in the Battle Frontier, but both of these locations are accessed from the Fight Area of the Battle Zone. The player cannot travel to the Battle Zone until they have entered the Hall of Fame.
In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, the Battle Tower is located in the Battle Frontier west of Olivine City. The player will not be allowed to enter the Battle Frontier until they have entered the Hall of Fame.
Palmer, Barry's father, is the Tower Tycoon here.
Upon defeating 100 Trainers in a row (Single Battle mode only in Generation IV), the player will increase their Trainer Card level.
The Battle Points earned for challenging the Battle Tower can be redeemed for prizes at the Exchange Service Corner, in the Battle ParkDP outside the Battle Tower or in the Battle FrontierPtHGSS square. In the Battle Frontier square, the player may also use Battle Points to buy Scratch-Off Cards to play.

|
In all Battle Tower challenges, the player enters a Battle Room with seven opponents, who the player must defeat all in a row. After beating a room, the player will earn Battle Points. The seventh and final opponent is considered the room's boss. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the player is allowed to take breaks until the fifth battle.
The middle receptionist offers the Battle Room challenge. The player may choose the Single Battle format, with battles of three on three, or the Double Battle format, with battles of four on four.
In Generation IV, the rightmost receptionist offers the Wi-Fi Battle Room challenge. In this challenge, opposing teams are randomly downloaded via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection from other players who challenged the Wi-Fi Battle Room. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the rightmost receptionist instead offers the Master Class Battle Room challenges, which is unlocked after achieving a 49-win streak in either of the Battle Rooms.
In Generation IV, when the player finishes a room, they can choose to upload their results via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The Wi-Fi Battle Rooms are operated on a ranking system, and if the player does well enough, they can become the leader of a room.
Master Class
This section is incomplete. Please feel free to edit this section to add missing information and complete it. Reason: Rewards for rank-up and cumulative wins; boss Trainers |

Awards
Unlike the other facilities at the Battle Frontier, the Battle Tower awards the player Goods and Ribbons for meeting certain conditions. Not only are there prizes for single battle, but also for winning consecutive Double Battles or multi battle in the Wi-Fi battle room.
Goods
In Generation IV, trophies are awarded for reaching certain streaks. These can be used to decorate Secret Bases in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. In HeartGold and SoulSilver, these trophies are displayed in the player's bedroom in New Bark Town.

In the anime
Main series
The Battle Tower was mentioned in Challenging a Towering Figure!, where Barry introduced his father, Palmer, as its leader to Ash and his friends.
Pokémon Evolutions
The Battle Tower appeared in The Rival, where Barry challenged his father there, eventually emerging victorious.
In the manga
Pokémon Adventures
Platinum arc
The Battle Tower first appeared in Deprogramming Porygon-Z as a part of the Battle Frontier. By the end of this chapter, it remained the only Battle Frontier facility yet to be challenged by Platinum, although she was seen accepting Palmer's invitation to face him there in The Final Dimensional Duel XI.
Trivia
- Although the sprites for the attendants of the Battle Tower in Pokémon Platinum had been changed to match the rest of the Battle Frontier, while choosing a partner for a Multi Battle, the attendant's sprite was accidentally left unchanged from what it was in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The same applies for when an attendant appears to award a trophy.
