Battle Mode is a mode in the Pokémon Stadium series and Pokémon Colosseum.
Pokémon Stadium series
In the Pokémon Stadium series, Battle Mode is where two players can play against each other or a CPU using any Pokémon from Generation I (the English Pokémon Stadium only. 42 in the Japanese Pokémon stadium) or Generation II (Pokémon Stadium 2 only).
Pokémon Colosseum
In Pokémon Colosseum, Battle Mode is where players can choose to battle using a ready selected party. These battles take place in the Phenac Colosseum. The player can choose from 4 different battle difficulties (easy, normal, hard or ultimate). For each difficulty set there are 6-8 parties of Pokémon to choose from. Each party contains different Pokémon.
