* Unlike all the other transliterations to Japanese, the lone “n” in the Japanese name of their Trainer class is ヌ ''nu'' rather than ン ''n''. This is not the case for other words ending with “n”, like プレセンテーシン ''puresentēshin'' (presentation) or パン ''pan'' (bread). This is also the case for the {{wp|seinen-manga}} magazine {{wp|Monthly Afternoon}}, which has the Japanese title 月刊アフタヌーン ''Gekkan Afutanūn''. The ヌ ''nu'' syllable should be in the transliterations of English ''only'' to describe the [nʊ]/[nu(:)] pronunciation in English.
