Trivia
- In Red, Green and Blue, Lance has an Dragonite with this move, although it is impossible to legally get a Dragonite knowing Barrier.
- Despite many Pokémon can learn either Barrier or its variation Iron Defense, only 5 Pokémon can learn both: Shellder, Cloyster, Clamperl, Huntail, and Gorebyss.
- Interestingly, all these Pokemon are all either Pokemon based on bivalves or evolve from Pokemon that are.
