Azurill (Japanese: ルリリ Ruriri; German: Azurill; French: Azurill) is a Normal-type Pokémon. It evolves into Marill.

Name origin

Both the English 'Azurill' and the Japanese 'Ruriri' are derived from the respective languages' word for azure referring to the colour of this Pokémon.

Like Pichu, its name is a shortened form of a higher evolution to indicate that it is a baby. Like Marill, it appears to be a mouse combined with a beach ball.
