Players with Memory Keys have the ability to create an avatar (Japanese: アバター) that will serve as their profile for all activity while playing Pokémon Battrio. Players can select either a male or female avatar of varying types, and give their profile a nickname of up to four characters. As the development of Pokémon Battrio continued, more advantageous features that made use of the Memory Key were introduced, as well as more customization options and in-game awards.

Reason: which was the original avatar option?

Initially there was only one male or female avatar option, but this was increased to the five displayed below early into the system's life. These Trainer types can be seen as the equivalent of Trainer classes from the core games.

None of the options are available from the start; many must be acquired through winning a certain amount of V Battles. Some can only be bought via the silver Gacha Machine between rounds in Battrio Tower or Battrio Stadium modes.

Titles and ranks

Also introduced in the Battrio V upgrade, titles and ranks can be appended to the player's nickname upon reaching a certain Style Level and achieving a certain number of V Battle victories respectively. Style Levels, much like Type Levels can be increased by using pucks of a certain base color. Using pucks with black bases for example will earn Style Points for the black Style Level after a battle. Increasing the Style Level also increases bonus Style Points and medals earned after a battle. The title a player is bestowed depends on the values of their Style Level, with different titles for players focusing more on black Style Level over white, vice versa, or for those that focus on both Style Levels equally.
