Astonish (Japanese: おどろかす Astonish) is a damage-dealing Ghost-type move introduced in Generation III.

Effect

Astonish inflicts damage and has a 30% chance of causing the target to flinch if the user attacks before the target.

Generation III

Astonish will deal double the damage if its target had previously used Minimize.

Generation IV onward

Astonish will now deal regular damage if its target had previously used Minimize.
