Ash's Noibat (Japanese: サトシのオンバット Satoshi's Onbat) is the fifth Pokémon that Ash caught in the Kalos region.

History

Noibat made its first appearance when it hatched and was caught by Ash in XY076.

Personality and characteristics

As a newly-hatched baby Pokémon, Noibat has difficulties flying and is very clumsy. When it cries, it lets out an ear-piercing Supersonic.

Trivia

  • This is Ash's first primary Flying-type Pokémon.
  • Noibat is Ash's third Dragon-type Pokémon, the first was Ash's Gible, the second was Ash's Goodra. Also, ironically, Ash caught Noibat after releasing his Goodra which means Ash caught Noibat 6 episodes after Goodra's release.
  • Noibat's capture was first teased in the poster for PK27.
  • Noibat is the first bat Pokémon caught by a main character whose catch was seen onscreen.
