Ash's Farfetch'd (Japanese: サトシのカモネギ Satoshi's Kamonegi) was the fourth Pokémon that Ash caught in Pokémon Journeys: The Series, the first one he caught in the Galar region, and his fifty-sixth overall.

History

In JN027, Ash and Goh had heard of a Galarian Farfetch'd defeating a Trainer's Chewtle, so they went to see the Pokémon for themselves. As soon as they encountered it, Goh failed in two attempts to catch it, once without battling it and once while battling it with his Kantonian Farfetch'd. Afterwards, Ash battled the Galarian Farfetch'd with his Riolu and managed to defeat it. After Ash and Goh healed the two Farfetch'd and Riolu, Ash asked Farfetch'd if it would like to join his team, and Farfetch'd, having recognized Ash's worthiness, agreed to do so.

Personality and characteristics

Farfetch'd is a very prideful Pokémon, engaging in battles to hone its skills. Even when it is at the brink of defeat, Farfetch'd refuses to give up, pushing its body to the absolute limit. Upon seeing Ash sharing the same battling spirit and passion, Farfetch'd agreed to join his team after Ash offered to help it grow stronger, and immediately resumed training with Riolu after its capture.
