Arceus (Japanese: アルセウス Arseus) is the last Legendary Pokémon of Generation IV and the final Pokémon in the National Pokédex as of that generation.

Arceus is classified as the "Alpha Pokémon", is often referred to as the "Original One", and is said to be the creator of the Pokémon universe. Dialga and Palkia are said to be alter-egos of Arceus, and it also created Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf.

This is the fourth event legendary Pokémon, which can only be received during a Pokémon event or a Nintendo event.

Biology

Physiology

Arseus is possibly an equine being that may be based on a horse-like mammal or qilin. Its body is white and has gold hooves attached to its four legs. Its hair or mane is quite long and its face is green. It also has a cross-like wheel attached to its body, which changes color based on Arseus' current type

Arceus has been described as the Pokémon who created the Pokémon universe, something that may break the long-standing theory that Mew is the ancestor of all Pokémon, though any number of other theories may be proven true in time.

Gender differences

Arceus is genderless, as it is the only one.

Special abilities

While Arceus may be a pure Normal-type, due to Arceus's Multi-Type ability allows for its type to change into any of the other 16 types depending on what type of special plate it holds.

Arceus's signature move, Judgment, also changes its type depending on the type of special plate Arceus is holding.

Behavior

Habitat

Arceus is rumored to live at the Beginning Dimension.
