Rock Tunnel

Make sure that you're well-prepared - it's going to be a while until you can reach medical attention. It's a good idea to bring a few Escape Ropes, some Repels, and something that can dig. As exhausting as the tunnel itself is, there are 15 Trainers standing between you and the exit to Lavender Town. The new species found here include the Template:Type2 Machop, and the Rock/Template:Type2 Onix; both are great additions to your ever-growing team.

The area near the entrance is pretty linear. Defeat the PokéManiac and take the stairs down to B1F.

B1F

There are five Trainers in this area, though you only have to battle four. Earn some battle experience, and find the next stairway.

There are three Trainers here lurking around here. Loop around to the right to find the stairs.

B1F

Another three Trainers line the tunnel here. The stairs to the first floor are located in the northwest corner.

1F

Three Trainers left! Defeat the three Jr. Trainers, and look for the exit to the south.

Route 10 (south)

Finally, fresh air and sunlight! As grueling as it may have been, all of those battles have left you about $11,000 richer, and it's not over yet. If your team is in trouble, you can take the eastern path to avoid the four Trainers outside the tunnel. Check the lone tree for a Max Ether, then head south to reach Lavender Town.

Lavender Town

Lavender is a tiny town, but it does have a few notable locations. The Poké Mart in the southeast sells some handy new items, like Revives (which restores a fainted Pokémon to 1/2-health) and Great Balls (an upgrade of the Poké Ball).

The Name Rater

The house just above the town's southern exit is home to the Name Rater, a man who judges your Pokémon's nicknames. His services are free, so you can change nicknames as often as you'd like.

Abduction

Mr. Fuji, head of the Lavender Volunteer Pokémon House, has gone missing. His disappearance may have some connection to the recent paranormal activity occurring in Pokémon Tower. There's nothing you can do about it right now, so just keep your eyes open for clues...

Pokémon Tower

Pokémon Tower, where departed Pokémon are laid to rest, appears to be the source of the town's problems. Having a connection to the spirit world, most wild Pokémon found inside are Template:Type2s. Your rival is waiting for you on the tower's second floor, but you can put that battle off until later. Beyond the second floor, you'll start encountering actual ghosts and possessed Channelers, but without a Silph Scope, you can't reach the tower's top floor.

Restless Spirits

Most ghosts you'll encounter inside the tower are actually Pokémon in disguise, like Gastly, Haunter, and Cubone. Once you have the Silph Scope in your possession, it will reveal them as the Pokémon that they are, and you'll be able to battle or capture them. Gastly and Haunter are two of the only three Template:Type2s in the game (the third being Gengar), so it's worthwhile to track them down. There is one restless spirit in the tower, but since you can't do anything but run from it, it's best to ignore it for now. There are rumors of a Silph Scope prototype in Celadon City, so it's time to head west.

Route 8

Celadon City lies to the west, but you've got to get past Saffron City first. You won't be allowed through the guardhouse though, so enter the building to the north and take the Celadon-Lavender Underground that runs west underneath the city. Remember to use your Itemfinder in the tunnel - you never know what people may have dropped. You'll emerge on Route 7.

Route 7

This tiny route leads straight into Celadon City to the west.
If needed, you can wander around in the tall grass to train your team; your Pokémon should be around Lv 30 before challenging the Celadon Gym.
