Pewter City

Upon arriving in Pewter City take a chance to heal at the Pokémon center just north from where you entered. Up and right from the Pokémart for you to stock up on items and north of there is two entrances to the Museum of Science. The museum holds interesting information but nothing crucial to the plot. The side entrance lead to behind the counter where a scientist will give you an Old Amber, once you are able to get to Cinnabar Island you can restore this to get an Aerodactyl.

Trying to leave town by the east exit will prompt a man to tell you to challenge Brock at the Gym, he takes you there. defeating Brock earns you your first Badge and thus advances the story.

You are now able to leave the city by the east exit but remember to heal first.
