Wish Cave

To start this chapter, you need to have obtained the Friend Area Sky Blue Plains and cleared the Pitfall Valley dungeon. After both requirements have been met, Ekans and Medicham will be found at Whiscash Pond. They are talking about how their wishes will come true. After you spot them they run off, but they return the next day. The two are discussing dungeon tactics and their specific wishes. Again, they run off when they see you. The next day, you will only find Ekans. He says that he was KO'ed in the dungeon, but Medicham is still fighting. Wait one more day, where Ekans will appear in front of the Bulletin Board. Read the board and accept the "Medicham, Help Me!" rescue request to unlock Wish Cave.

Inside the Dungeon

In this dungeon, your team members will be reduced to Level 1. You need Surf to enter, and your money amount will be reduced to 0 upon entrance. The entire dungeon is 99 floors, but you only need to go to floor 20 at first.

Murky Cave

Gengar

After rescuing Medicham, you will find her and Ekans near the Bulletin Board. They ask if you know where Gengar went. A day later, they move to Pokémon Square, and they say he went to Mt. Freeze. Go about your business, and the next day Gengar himself comes to your base. He asks you to escort him up to the top of Mt. Freeze.

Ninetales

After reaching the top, Gengar will blame Ninetales for his becoming a Pokémon. Ninetales says that the curse could be lifted, depending on Gengar's heart. Gengar receives the 9-Tail Crest, and is told to scale Murky Cave, where Gardevoir's remains are. Again, Gengar asks for your assistance.

Inside the Dungeon

The dungeon is 20 floors. No items can be found, only Poké.
