Mt. Faraway

The time has come to solve the mystery of the mirage Pokémon. Follow the advice of Suicune, and conquer the Mt. Faraway dungeon.

Inside the Dungeon

There are 40 floors in the dungeon, 10 more than the fields. Surf is again required to enter. Definitely bring a key for this dungeon, because the Friend Bow is locked away on the 30th floor. This item makes all Pokémon easier to recruit.

After defeating Ho-Oh, talk to Spinda in Pokémon Square. It is envious of you meeting the mirage Pokémon, but that envy turns into inspiration. Spinda leaves Pokémon Square to travel the world again, with a goal to meet many rare Pokémon. If you talk to Spinda with Ho-Oh as the leader of your team, Spinda will also remark at meeting the mirage Pokémon.

Western Cave

If you recruit Ho-Oh from Mt. Faraway, you are shown a cut-scene featuring Blastoise and Charizard in a dungeon to the West. The two explorers hear a voice saying that it is the most powerful Pokémon ever. Mini explosions occur around them, and they are wiped out. Back in Pokémon Square, the townsfolk are discussing the most powerful Pokémon. You come into the square, and the question is asked to you. Wynaut brings up a rumor about a Pokémon that exists only to fight. Charizard and Blastoise enter the conversation, and confirm the rumor. The cave in question, Western Cave, will be opened for exploration.

Inside the Dungeon

This is another 99 floor dungeon that requires Surf to enter. There is a locked treasure room on floor 59 that contains the Beauty Scarf, an item for evolving Feebas into Milotic. Keys are very common here, so open up plenty of toolbox space for them.
