According to {{mdc|Dusknoir|2}}, Luxray's clan, or in Explorers of Sky Manectric's clan, was once a peaceful tribe, roaming around in search of a place for temporary rest. However, once they were attacked by a fearsome foe, and ever since they always "strike first for fear of being stricken". During the time in which the {{player}} adventures, [[Team Skull]] takes {{p|Azurill}}'s Water Float and places it in Amp Plains, within Luxray or Manectric's habitat. The player and partner go to regain it. The player tries to hide from the clan, to find it useless; Luxray claims to see any that hide while Manectric would prefer that they hide so he could sneak up quietly from behind. Realizing that hiding is useless, they stand up to the challenge, but find themselves surrounded.

==Trivia==
==Trivia==
*The Luxray and the Luxio tribe may have been replaced by the Manectric and Electrike tribe in [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky]] because one of the starter and partner choices in the game is {{p|Shinx}}.
* Manectric and Electrike probably replace the Luxray line in Explorers of Sky since {{p|Shinx}} is an available candidate for the Player or Partner in this version.
*Though Luxray appears to use an {{type2|Electric}} move similar to {{m|Shock Wave}} after the battle, it doesn't know any damaging moves of this type.
**Manectric appears to use the same move as Luxray in Explorers of Sky. The only damaging Electric type move Manectric knows is {{m|Spark}} which is not a move that can be used to attack from a distance like the move used at the end of the battle.

The Electrike tribe (also known as the Electrike clan, Manectric's tribe, or Manectric's clan) is a group of eight Electrike led by a Manectric that appears in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. They are very territorial, and follow a "strike first, ask later" strategy.

According to Dusknoir, LuxrayTD/ManectricS's clan was once a peaceful tribe, roaming around in search of a place for temporary rest. However, once they were attacked by a fearsome foe, and ever since they always "strike first for fear of being stricken". They reside in Amp Plains often, for it is cloaked by thunderstorms during parts of the year. During the time in which the player adventures, Team Skull takes Azurill's Water Float and places it within LuxrayTD/ManectricS's habitat in Amp Plains, hoping for the player's team to be attacked by the famously territorial Pokémon while retrieving it. The player and partner try to hide from the clan upon their discovery only to find the action useless; Luxray claims to see any that hide while Manectric would prefer that they hide so he could sneak up quietly from behind. Realizing that hiding is useless, they stand up to the challenge, but find themselves surrounded.

After the fight, as LuxrayTD/ManectricS uses a last-ditch attack that resembles Charge Beam, Dusknoir arrives just in time and manages to defuse the situation, convincing the tribe's leader that the player and partner had a non-malicious reason to trespass. LuxrayTD/ManectricS decides to allow the group some time for their task and then leaves with their tribe. None of them are seen again during future visits.
