Alfornada (Japanese: ベイクタウン Bake Town) is a town in the Paldea region, located in South Province (Area Six).

Because of the Gym's specialized type, the people of this town tend to walk around accompanied by Psychic-type Pokémon.

Alfornada Gym

The Alfornada Gym is the official Gym of Alfornada. The Gym Leader is Tulip, who specializes in Psychic-type Pokémon.

Alfornada Pokémon Center

A Pokémon League representative at this Pokémon Center asks the player to defeat seven Pokémon Trainers in South Province (Area Six) for a TM.

Emotional Spectrum Practice

Emotional Spectrum Practice, or ESP for short, is an exercise activity formulated by Tulip to help one become more beautiful. ESP regimens are taught by Dendra at the eastern side of town at the base of the observatory.

During an ESP session, Dendra will prompt the player to press either the X, A, B, or Y button before a short timer expires. Each button corresponds to an emotion that the player must mimic. The player must participate in two ESP sessions as part of the Alfornada Gym Test. In subsequent visits, Dendra will continue to offer ESP sessions, in two different modes: Standard and Knockout.

Standard mode offers four different courses of increasing difficulty: Nice 'n' easy, Moderate, Vigorous, and All-out. In Standard mode, the length of the session is fixed, and the pace of the prompts will quicken over time. The player will receive various Berries as a reward for successfully completing a session.

In Knockout mode, the session length is not fixed. Dendra will continue to prompt the player until an incorrect response is provided. The types of rewards vary with the length of the player's session.
